Comfortable Overnight Boarding
Safe, fun, trustworthy and comfortable overnight dog boarding! Enjoy peace of mind while you are away! Climate controlled indoor boarding suites. All pet accommodations include a kuranda cot, comfy blankets and bedding, bowls, supervised activities several times a day in our large playgrounds, snacks after playtime, television and lots of personal love and attention from our dedicated staff. Over 30 years of experience in the canine industry!
One pup/per day, single suite

Comfortable lodging with kuranda cot and a cozy blanket. All day socialization and play! Our charges are per day, no matter if you drop off in the morning or afternoon hours. If you pick up in the morning, you are not charged for that day. (tax is not included in pricing)
Two pups/per day, same suite

Trail Walks or Swim Time

Your pup will enjoy a 30 minute private trail walk on our beautiful 15 acres of northland property or swim time in Cedar Island Lake!

Socialization and play, makes it a great day! A good dog is a tired dog! Prepay for the week and receive one day FREE!

Training Packages
Dog training and obedience work for all breeds, from basic obedience to advanced service dog training. We use force free positive reinforcement techniques that are proven to work. We train any breed, any age and any issue! (tax is not included in training prices)
Private Focused Session

Personalized one-on-one sessions to address specific behavioral issues and define training goals. Personalized training plan for the dog's individual needs and lifestyle.
Positive Beginning: 4 private sessions

Establishing basic obedience cues and desensitizing to a 30 foot lead. Introducing distance and distractions. Rewarding all good behavior.
Good Dog: 8 private sessions

Personalized training schedule. Basic obedience focusing on impulse control while adding distance and distractions in real life situations. Address common household behavioral issues.
Puppy Progress

8-16 weeks of age. 5 Daycare (one week) with 2 training sessions per day. Confidence building with positive associations and socialization. General obedience with greeting manners. Pup does NOT stay overnight. One private (one hour) meeting at the end of the week.
Daycare Duo

Over 16 weeks of age. 10 Daycare with 2 training sessions per day. Perfect for reinforcing skills and building confidence. Includes one hour private meeting after the 2 weeks. (Monday - Friday, pup does NOT stay overnight). Also, a great way for your pup to engage in socialization in a safe and structured environment.
Sit Happens

For pups with a solid foundation who need a refresher. Enhanced impulse control and reactions to distractions to manage excitement and improve patience. Designed to master advanced skills and improve confidence.
Monday - Friday, one week overnight boot camp. Includes one hour private meeting at pick up.
Happy Hounds Adventure Camp

TWO week board & train! Over 6 months of age, 2 training sessions per day. Focusing on basic obedience cues and loose leash training. Positive socialization to new environments to build confidence with distance and distractions. Establish healthy routines and reinforce good behavior. Address specific behavioral issues. Includes one hour private meeting at pick up.
The Obedient Hound Course

FOUR week board & train! Over 6 months of age, 2 training sessions per day. Must complete the 2 week board & train prior. Strengthen skills by reinforcing advanced obedience with real life situations. Focusing on Canine Good Citizen behavior and mastering loose lead. Addressing reactive behaviors and behavioral thresholds. Recall and boundaries along with increasing distance and distractions. Intensive training. Includes one hour private meeting at pick up.
Behavioral Modification
$100/session
Addressing behavioral issues such as aggression, anxiety, reactivity and triggers, fear, separation anxiety, resource guarding, pack instability, territorial aggression and dominance aggression. Desensitize and counter-condition to triggers. Management while setting up to succeed. Duration depends on individual progress of pup.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy

Open to ALL pups up to one year of age. Owners MUST attend all 6 classes. Learn the skills that are the foundation for all learning. Pre Canine Good Citizen skills. The very beginning in training!
Canine Good Citizen
Call for pricing
Teach responsible dog ownership and certify pups that have the training and behaviors needed to be reliable, well-behaved members of their families and communities. Purebred and mixed breeds are welcome! No age requirement.
Community Canine

Advanced level of Canine Good Citizen. No age limit, however the pup MUST have a CGC test on record with AKC.

Hours
Today | By Appointment |
Hours are Monday -Friday 8:00-10:00 am or 4:00-6:00 pm. Saturday is 9:00-11:00am or 3:00-5:00pm. Sunday is 3:00-5:00pm. Gate is open by appointment only. Happy Dog is open 365 days a year for boarding, training or grooming, however we are closed for transactions on all holidays.
